What you’ll do

For a first trip to Morocco, this tour links the imperial cities, the blue city and the Sahara in one week, in a private vehicle with an English-, French- or Spanish-speaking driver and local guides in each city.

The route

  1. Casablanca → Rabat → Chefchaouen: Hassan II Mosque (interior visit), Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas in Rabat, arriving in the blue lanes of the Rif.
  2. Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Fes: a free morning in the blue medina, the Roman ruins of Volubilis (UNESCO), arriving in Fes.
  3. Fes: a guided day in Fes el-Bali, the world’s largest car-free medina — Chouara tanneries, Bou Inania Madrasa, craft souks.
  4. Fes → Merzouga: Ifrane, the Azrou cedar forest and its Barbary macaques, Midelt, the Ziz Valley; a sunset camel ride and a night in camp in Erg Chebbi.
  5. Merzouga → Dadès: sunrise over the dunes, the Gnawa village of Khamlia, the Todra Gorges, overnight in the Dadès Valley.
  6. Dadès → Aït Benhaddou → Marrakech: the road of a thousand kasbahs, Aït Benhaddou, the Tichka pass, arriving in Marrakech.
  7. Marrakech: a guided tour of the medina and Bahia Palace, end of services.

The 30% deposit secures accommodation; the balance is paid on arrival, in cash or by card.
